Cats are for life not just for Christmas, but this festive feline only comes once a year and he doesn't hang about long! Santa Claude is Round Hill's annual Christmas coffee, putting their mascot on a limited edition bag of coffee beans specially picked for the season. This washed coffee has been roasted specifically for filter brewing and we think it pairs perfectly with a Christmas morning Chemex.

The high altitudes up to 1800 MASL in Rwanda's western province mean slow ripening and slow fermentation resulting in an intensely fruity and spicy cup and tasting notes of stollen, all spice and poached pears that fit the seasonal bill perfectly. 

It might just be here for Christmas, but this brew is the result of generations of coffee knowledge passed down to  father-son duo Alexis and Aime Gahizi. The pair operate Gitesi Washing Station, which has been a model for sustainable and community focused coffee production since it was established in 2005. Their initiatives include the distribution of cows, the provision of seedlings and sustainable fertilisers, health insurance and bonus schemes all of which helps to ensure that they receive high quality coffee from the smallholder farmers around Gitesi.
