Santa Claude - Round Hill Roastery
Cats are for life not just for Christmas, but this festive feline only comes once a year. Santa Claude is Round Hill's annual Christmas coffee, putting their mascot on a limited edition box of coffee beans specially picked for the season.
With tasting notes of clementine, mulling spices, plum pudding, this washed coffee from Rwanda fits the bill perfectly. Justin Musabyimana's coffee company Mahembe buys its coffee from the smallholder farms around its two washing stations (Nyagatareand and Nyarubuye) all of whom grow the red bourbon varietal exclusively. High altitudes in this region mean slow ripening and slow fermentation resulting in an intensely fruity and spicy cup.
This 250g box has been roasted specifically for filter brewing and we think it pairs perfectly with a Christmas morning Chemex.
