Andrés Reyes Hernandez, Honduras - Round Hill Roastery
We’re taking ourselves off our self-imposed cherry choc tasting note ban for this bad boy from Round Hill (sour cherry are you kidding us?!)
It’s all for a good cause because these Honduran coffee beans come from Andrés Reyes Hernandez who’s part of the Intibucá project. This group of 60 producers in the municipality of Masaguara share their knowledge and pool their resources to invest in infrastructure across their wet mills, drying facilities and farms with an ultimate goal of improving the quality and value of their coffees.
Andrés has a 4 hectare farm in Pozo Negro, where his grandfather helped establish a coffee farming community. He exclusively farms the Honduran hybrid IH-90 alongside his wife Teresa.
Somerset has a thriving speciality coffee scene and Round Hill Roastery, based just outside Bath, are a key player. This coffee roaster focuses on single farm and single estate coffee allows them to create strong relationships direct with suppliers and bring truly unique coffee and complete transparency to their customers.
Round Hill roast their coffee specifically for either filter or espresso so they can bring out the best in their beans and their bright bags make things simple: blue for filter, pink for espresso.
