Stove Top
While often called a stove-top espresso maker, the Moka pot uses much lower pressures to brew coffee. It works by boiling the water in the lower chamber generating steam. This steam creates pressure in the chamber which pushes the water up through the ground coffee where it is brewed and forced through a filter into the top chamber ready to pour.
This method avoids direct heat on the coffee making a tasty smooth cup.
