A key producer of ‘new world’ wines, Australia is one of the world’s largest exporters of wine and the second largest consumer of wine per capita. The majority of Australian wine production is in the cooler Southern regions of Victoria and South Australia, where the climate more closely mirrors old world producers like Italy and France.
