Sunset, Jumping Juice 2022 - Jumping Juice
Sunset 2022 is an absolute fun time summer juice. Not quite an orange wine, not quite a rosé wine, this natural wine is made from 100% Pinot Gris fermented on skins for a short time for fruit forward flavour and crunchy grapefruit acidity.
This bottle, produced biodynamically, is all about capturing a moment in time and this easygoing tropical fruit punch perfectly captures memories of feel good summer evenings on the beach.
The Jumping Juice label is a collaboration between low-intervention Gippsland winemakers and pals Xavier Goodridge and Patrick Sullivan and is all about exploring all the great grapes across Australia, without the restrictions of their own Geographical Indications. The result is new age wines that demand to be drunk now and without inhibitions.
Jumping Juice is a project from Australia's Xavier Goodridge together with longtime friend Patrick Sullivan, both Victorian natural winemakers. While the pair manage their own individual smallholdings, with Jumping Juice they had free rein to source the best fruit from across the nation to create a selection of multi-regional, celebratory Australian wines.
The results of this project, including Pinot Noir and Sunset, are thirst-quenching, fun and most importantly immediately drinkable or "smashable". Their cult following is a sign of the market for unserious wine lovers enthralled by the vibrancy of modern winemaking and unfussed by ageing and vintage.
