Naughty, Colombia - Cairngorm Coffee

Cairngorm have blessed us with a trio of Christmas coffees this year to suit all palates. For fans of a fruity filter, ‘Naughty’ is an anaerobic natural process coffee from Colombian farmer Sebastian Ramirez. Sebastian is a fourth generation coffee producer whose family have grown coffee for over a century. His farm El Placer previously sold its harvest to local cooperatives which restricted the prices they were able to access and the type of coffee they could produce.

Sebastian enrolled on a coffee education course, farming, processing and tasting- crucial as "many coffee producers don’t know how their coffee tastes and end up selling it at low prices. If you know how your coffee taste... you can have more control over your pricing."

Can confirm, it tastes fantastic. This coffee brings just the right amount of festive funk with notes of vibrant blackcurrant and comforting baking spice. It's the perfect counterpart to Cairngorm's mellow and approachable Nice coffee.

Cairngorm Coffee have been shaking up the scene in Scotland and beyond since 2014 and their 3 cafés are always top of our list for Edinburgh coffee recs.

Founder Robi’s lifelong passion for better-brewed coffee is at the heart of everything Cairngorm do, and over the past 9 years he’s built up a team and community of equally passionate people. A commitment to sustainable sourcing and a team of meticulous roasters has ensured that this vision has come to life, meaning you get the very best out of the sweet and juicy coffee beans they favour.
