Our roasters keep throwing Central American coffees at us and we just keep catching them. Fresh in from Wood St is this moreish Costa Rican coffee that brings a balance of tangy raspberry, dark choc body and a creamy mouthfeel to the mix that makes it versatile enough for both filter and espresso brewing.
Martin Ureña and family are world renowned for the coffees they produce at the La Chumeca micromill in Tarrazu. From the start, they made the decision to exclusively focus on natural processing, to achieve the highest possible quality by refining both their agronomic and post-harvest techniques.
The Ureñas export their coffee through Coope Tarrazu who assist with the harvest workforce and encourage large-scale sustainability programmes for around 40 of Costa Rica’s micromills.
Specialty coffee roasters Wood St started life as a coffee stall in Walthamstow’s Wood Street Indoor Market and slowly evolved into a permanent neighbourhood fixture, bringing REALLY GOOD COFFEE to their corner of East London.

In 2022, Clare and Gareth Reid handed over the reins of the cafe and honed in on their roasting business, moving into a large unit in Saffron Walden, Essex to meet the growing demand for their REALLY GOOD COFFEE across the hospitality sector.
