Bookkisa, Ethiopia - Wood St. Coffee
ANOTHER Ethiopian natural to enjoy, lucky us. Its a big year for dry process Ethiopian coffees and this one from Wood St is an absolute classic from the legendary ‘King of Guji’, Ture Waji.
Ture Waji and Sookoo Coffee are renowned for producing ultra clean and aromatic naturals using organic coffee cherry from the Bookkisa sub-kebele. This one is true to their 'Ethiopia first, natural processing second' moniker, giving lots of lavender florals alongside a fruity base of blueberries and raspberries.
Specialty coffee roasters Wood St started life as a coffee stall in Walthamstow’s Wood Street Indoor Market and slowly evolved into a permanent neighbourhood fixture, bringing REALLY GOOD COFFEE to their corner of East London.
Specialty coffee roasters Wood St started life as a coffee stall in Walthamstow’s Wood Street Indoor Market and slowly evolved into a permanent neighbourhood fixture, bringing REALLY GOOD COFFEE to their corner of East London.
In 2022, Clare and Gareth Reid handed over the reins of the cafe and honed in on their roasting business, moving into a large unit in Saffron Walden, Essex to meet the growing demand for their REALLY GOOD COFFEE across the hospitality sector.
It’s in high demand for a reason: responsibly sourced, democratised coffee, carefully roasted with the core belief that anyone can brew great coffee if given the tools, knowledge and training.
