Esmeralda comes from a family run farm of the same name operated by Don Norbey. First entering the industry as a coffee picker, Norbey has slowly expanded his plantation, and gradually moved into the world specialty coffee production, where he earns higher value premiums for his coffee beans and has grown a global reputation.

This unique and complex flavour profile is owed to the Caturron varietal, a rare variation of Caturra, and is best experienced with filter brewing methods.
