Snug Mug, Mexico - Elsewhere Coffee Roasters
False spring got us good. We went too early on all the fruity coffees and it's still absolutely freezing. Thankfully Elsewhere are still pumping out some warming chocolatey coffees to better suit the season. Snug Mug comes from a group of 38 indigenous Me’phaa women in the Mexican state of Guerrero. Las Guerreras grow incredible coffee in Montaña Alta, cultivating their crop amongst native fruit trees on mountain forest farms.
Most men here leave their wives, daughters and sisters behind to look after the family and farms when they leave the home to move to more prosperous northern states.
Their natural process coffee beans really stand out in an origin dominated by washed coffees with bold flavours of cocoa, almond and orange that bring cosiness to your cup.
