One of the best views of Edinburgh Castle, one of the most unique coffees we’ve ever tried, and some of the city’s most knowledgeable baristas. The Source’s brew bar is stocked with a rotating line up of espressos and filters, all roasted in small batches just a couple of streets away.
The intimate open coffee bar at The Source brings you right into the thick of the action, where they use a Slayer Steam EP for espresso brewing with filter coffee from Fellow Aiden batch brewers or Orea hand brewers on offer too. Their focus is entirely on specialty coffee done well, so you won’t find any matcha, chai or hot chocolate on the menu.
On the shelves there's a fresh selection of their own coffee and a wide range of kit. The team are always happy to chat about their interesting range or to offer you advice on how to brew it well.
