Mikan, Peru - Hard Lines Coffee Roasters
Hard Lines’ latest coffee beans get their name from the Japanese Mikan orange, a reference to this Peruvian coffee’s flavour profile. A smooth and versatile coffee with a rich chocolatey body but enough orange and lemon acidity to brighten up your cup.
This is another example of Falcon coffee’s work to support smallholder producers in Peru. The green coffee trader has established a warehouse and quality control lab in Jaén, making it easier for farmers like the ones who contributed to this lot to export their coffee. The washed coffee is processed on individual farms in the mountains around Jaén using hand pulping machines then delivered to the Falcon warehouse for dry-milling, roasting trials and grading before export.
