Third-generation coffee grower Jairo Arcila specialises in experimental fermentation on his farms in Quindio. The Arcila family are major players in the specialty coffee game, with his wife Luz Helena Salazar another exciting producer and sons Carlos and Felipe founding Cofinet.

This natural Caturron microlot from his farm Villarozo is maybe less exciting than the fruity co-ferments he’s been putting out, but the quality and flavour of this variety absolutely shines through in the cup. Caturron is a rare mutation of Caturra first identified in 2016. Its resistance to leaf rust and high yield makes it incredibly valuable for Colombian farmers, and the exotic flavour profile is a very happy bonus.
