ALL CAPS's contribution to our Ethiopian coffee frenzy is this classic Gedeo washed. An ultra clean cup with distinct fruit sweetness and tasting notes of apricot and wildflower honey. The apricot iced tea quality opens up to further layers of fruit and florals as it cools, so we’re opting to use this one for cold-brew coffee.

This lot was processed in Banko Gotiti, using shade-grown cherries harvested by surrounding smallholders in Gedeb. The cherries arrive to be cleaned and sorted to remove debris before being washed, pulped, fermented, washed again and finally dried on raised beds.

The station has followed a strict water management and traceability plan since opening in 2009, committing itself to both environmental and social responsibility from farm to export. All the coffee is kept as separate lots until it is cupped and graded to further improve traceability.
