Another exceptional Peruvian coffee from Yallah. Pedro Garcia manages a two hectare farm in the village of San Francisco in San Jose del Alto, a 4 hour drive from the city of Jaén. Like much of Peru, this area has the potential to produce great quality coffee, with high altitudes and unique micro-climates providing ideal coffee growing conditions.

The farm only produces around 60 exportable bags each year, so Pedro lives and works in Jaén to supplement his income and provide for his family who oversee the day to day running of the farm.

Yallah are supporting the work of exporters Falcon who are fighting to keep the crops of small, remote producers like Pedro away from coyote coffee buyers. These middlemen bring cash to farms during harvest season to force them to sell their coffee at reduced prices.

This complex washed lot is worth far more than that, featuring sweet toffee apple tasting notes and some juicy pineapple acidity.
