Elvis Tineo, Peru - Yallah Coffee
The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the Peruvian coffee is arriving. You’re in for a treat with this Yallah newbie sourced from Elvis Tineo’s farm La Naranja, which sits across 3 hectares at 1750-2000MASL in the El Diamante area of Peru's Cajamarca coffee region.
La Naranja takes its name from the orange trees that grow amongst the coffee plants and is a real passion project for second-generation farmer Elvis. Like many younger generations of coffee growers, his work is all about driving quality- experimenting with planting, fermentation and processing techniques to create the best specialty micro-lots possible.
This washed lot has a complex strawberry and raisin sweetness and a juicy body that works brilliantly with Aeropress brewing.
Yallah Coffee are a small team roasting single-origin coffee out of a barn in Falmouth, Cornwall. Their roasting operation is backed by direct climate action: importing coffee by sail, eliminating single use packaging, committing to composting and powering the whole thing with renewable energy.
In 2024, they began their 1% for the planet membership, pledging to donate 1% of profits to environmental change.
Yallah partner with community charities both in Cornwall and at origin, sourcing with relationship and transparency at the forefront while also assisting rural Cornish communities to improve quality of life closer to home.
