Migoti, Burundi - Wood St. Coffee
Migoti Coffee Company has a vision to transform coffee quality in Burundi while also changing the lives of coffee-producing communities. As one of the poorest countries in the world, Migoti see the value of using coffee in Burundi as a catalyst for economic growth. Since 2015, they’ve been processing outstanding coffee in state of the art washing stations, connecting farmers with international importers and roasters, and establishing transparency across the supply chain.
This natural lot comes from smallholder farmers in Bujumbura who contribute to Migoti’s washing station. Roasted by Wood St. Coffee, this one has a velvety honey body and candy sweetness with red berry flavour that comes out even more as the cup cools. If you’re the type of person to always pick the red in a bag of skittles, this coffee’s for you.
Specialty coffee roasters Wood St started life as a coffee stall in Walthamstow’s Wood Street Indoor Market and slowly evolved into a permanent neighbourhood fixture, bringing REALLY GOOD COFFEE to their corner of East London.
Specialty coffee roasters Wood St started life as a coffee stall in Walthamstow’s Wood Street Indoor Market and slowly evolved into a permanent neighbourhood fixture, bringing REALLY GOOD COFFEE to their corner of East London.
In 2022, Clare and Gareth Reid handed over the reins of the cafe and honed in on their roasting business, moving into a large unit in Saffron Walden, Essex to meet the growing demand for their REALLY GOOD COFFEE across the hospitality sector.
It’s in high demand for a reason: responsibly sourced, democratised coffee, carefully roasted with the core belief that anyone can brew great coffee if given the tools, knowledge and training.
