Pure candy in the cup, this Peruvian coffee roasted by Spaceboy is a sweet treat for coffee lovers. Mario Chamaya Rafael is a meticulous coffee grower from Huabel in northern Peru. His 3 hectare farm sits at a lofty 1900 MASL, contributing to some spectacular flavour development and truly unique regional characteristics which are backed by Mario’s methodical processing methods. For this washed lot, cherries are taken straight from harvest to a resting tank, allowing full flavour development. The cherries then remain in the same tank for a 48 hour fermentation period that further enhances the coffee’s complexity. Washing and a 10 day drying period finish off the process, all overseen by Mario himself to ensure complete quality control.

The resulting coffee is something really special, with dried mango and candied citrus notes dominating a long and refreshing brew. This one is crying out for a batch brew that you can sip on all day.
