There’s so much good coffee coming out of Apaneca in El Salvador, and Finca Noruega and the Los Naranjos group have a lot to do with that. Noruega is much more than a farm, it works as a technical coffee development and education hub for small producers as part of the Renacer Project.

The technical school is led by Sigfredo Corado, a former professor of agronomy. With its extreme altitudes and history of pests and disease, El Salvador is not an easy place to farm coffee, but Sigfredo offers training training in farm practices that both improve the yield and quality of the coffee and are restorative for the land and soil.

This natural process coffee roasted by Spaceboy in Glasgow shows the fruits of this labour- literally. It’s absolutely bursting with sweet fruity flavour, marked by notes of star fruit, wild strawberry and pear with a clean, tea-like floral finish.
