Hibiscus florals, ripe strawberry and fizzy cola bottles? These coffee beans from Burundi are right up our street and we’ve mostly bought this one for us, sorry not sorry.

Bavyeyi, which translates to ‘parents’ in Kirundi, is sourced from around 2000 farmers in remote areas of Ngozi and has been named to honour the farmers in Burundi who grow coffee to pay for their children’s education, food and shelter. This coffee was sourced through JNP Coffee, whose founder Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian’s mother grew up in Ngozi. The farmers work closely with JNP Coffee Q graders at harvest time to maximise their coffee quality.

This rich and heavy natural process coffee has been given the gentle touch by Spaceboy’s meticulous roasting in order to manage its sugars, resulting in a deliciously sweet and well structured fruit-forward coffee.
