Christmas Single Origin, Costa Rica Aquiares Robelo - Ritual Coffee
Ritual’s special Christmas coffee release is bringing a some early festive cheer with flavours of Christmas Pudding, pineapple flambé and boozy sherry- our dream dessert buffet.
Spicy and sweet, these naturally processed coffee beans have been sourced from one of Costa Rica’s largest and most historic farms, Aquiares. Coffee has been grown on the slopes of the Turrialba Volcano since it was established as an estate by British farmers in 1890. Today, president Diego Robelo oversees a model of regenerative agriculture across the 924 hectare site and throughout the entire coffee production chain, with picking to milling all completed on site.
Ritual Coffee are a Cheltenham specialty coffee roastery and brew bar in the heart of the Cotswolds. Courtney and Callum founded Ritual in 2019 on a basis of openness and honesty- with transparent sourcing at the very heart of all the coffees they roast.
Their coffee offering centres around relationships that Ritual return to year on year, always prioritising the work of smaller producers and farming co-operatives. All of Ritual’s coffee is roasted in their beloved 1980s roaster Sammy, with the hope of taking roasting back to its purest craft by roasting manually for full quality control.
