Origin Blend - Ritual Coffee
Ritual Coffee’s Origin Blend combines two washed single-origin coffees into a deliciously balanced blend that works well with and without milk. For this edition, Ritual have mixed Colombian coffee beans from smallholders in Belén, a small town in the department of Cauca, with coffee beans from Peruvian farm La Naranja. The resulting coffee is chocolatey and sweet, with subtle biscuit tasting notes that will brew up a treat in espresso based drinks.
The added benefit is that all coffees used in this seasonally changing blend come from certified organic farms. Contributing farms in Belén average just 1.5 hectares in size, while the extreme altitudes of Cajamarca help the Peruvian farm stave off coffee plant diseases that would normally require the use of pesticides and fertilisers.
Ritual Coffee are a Cheltenham specialty coffee roastery and brew bar in the heart of the Cotswolds. Courtney and Callum founded Ritual in 2019 on a basis of openness and honesty- with transparent sourcing at the very heart of all the coffees they roast.
Their coffee offering centres around relationships that Ritual return to year on year, always prioritising the work of smaller producers and farming co-operatives. All of Ritual’s coffee is roasted in their beloved 1980s roaster Sammy, with the hope of taking roasting back to its purest craft by roasting manually for full quality control.
