There’s surely room for one more Costa Rican coffee? We’ll keep telling ourselves that, especially when it’s as punchy as this one from Odd Kin. These coffee beans are giving us sour cherry, sweet mandarin and toasty pecan nuttiness; perfect for the changing weather.

This single origin coffee comes from the high altitude district of Tarbaca, whose lush green landscape is a stunning setting for Familia Monge Garcia’s Las Palomas farm.

Daniel Jose and Maria Isabel now manage the 6 hectare farm, which was inherited from their father and their grandparents before him, and deliver their cherry to the ASOPROAAA mill where it is processed the same day. For this natural lot, the cherry was sorted thoroughly before being transferred to drying patios and left to fully dry. During this time, the coffee is raked, turned and continuously sorted to prevent fermentation, ensure consistency, and produce a quality that absolutely shines through in the final cup.
