Rwanda Cyato Tropical Punch - North Star Coffee
This special release Rwandan Coffee from North Star is the final boss of fruity coffees. We’ve tried some incredible beans from their work with the team at the Cyato Washing Station over the last couple of years which always stands out with uniquely juicy experimental anaerobic processed coffees.
North Star have nicknamed this bag Tropical Punch and it couldn’t be more bang on. During processing, fresh pineapple was added to the coffee cherries in lidded barrels. Over 72 hours of fermentation, the fruit enzymes have a big impact on the flavour of the resulting cup, which is full bodied and intensely fruity with a slightly fizzy mouthfeel.
Worth savouring, we like to picture ourselves on a sun lounger with a tiki glass in hand. Maybe add a little cocktail umbrella to complete the vibe.
