Musozi, Rwanda - Cult Coffee Roasters
A tropical treat from Rwanda's Western Province where the volcanic soils and highland climate create perfect coffee growing conditions. Packed with pineapple flavour, yuzu acidity and spiced rum finish, these natural processed coffee beans roasted by Cult have nailed everything we’re after in a summer filter.
Rwamatamu farm and washing station is located in Nyamasheke, which flanks the Southern shores of Lake Kivu. The station is operated by husband and wife team Rutaganda Gaston and Mukantwaza Laetitia, who set up the site in 2015 to provide for their own family and for their community.
Their passion for coffee has made Rwamatamu a massive success, and they now manage 20 hectares of land while also buying and processing lots from local smallholder farmers, providing quality processing and supporting local families in the region. In 2023, they made a big step by investing in a dedicated cupping lab to level up their quality control and training.
Cult is an Edinburgh based cafe and roastery who've been promoting an ethos of fun, inclusivity and sharing from their converted vennel since 2014.
Cult's values have carried through into their roasting, sourcing high quality seasonal focused coffees to share with their community. Cult roast separate espresso and filter roast profiles to enhance the qualities of the coffees they take care to source and to optimise them for your preferred brewing method.
