A clean and balanced Mexican coffee from Oaxaca. These coffee beans, roasted by Crankhouse, come from Oaxaca’s Sierra Mazateca- which sits between 1500 and 2000MASL.

The unique cool climate of this region means that coffee is the main crop here but also results in much later harvests than elsewhere in Mexico, producing slow-ripened coffees that are sweet and complex. Farmers in this remote region usually work less than a single hectare of land and produce barely a single sack every season, but these tiny lots, nicknamed ‘Lotecitos’ by importer Raw Material, are extremely high quality and certainly worth shouting about.

This washed lot comes from several smallholders in Sierra Mazateca, is ultra clean and smooth, driven by blackberry and apple fruit flavour rounded out by a creamy chocolate finish.
