Kerehaklu Estate, India - Crankhouse Coffee
Another very special Indian coffee roasted by Crankhouse. This one comes from Ajoy and Pranoy Thipaiah at the Kerehaklu estate, where their family has grown coffee for decades.
Pranoy is the mind behind Kerehaklu’s experiments in post-harvest processing, using his science background to bring in modern innovations. This particular lot has used a mosto culture that comes from microbes found on the estate. This starter is added to the fermentation tank where the coffee undergoes 77 hours of anoxic fermentation before being dried on raised beds.
This one brings together an absolute tropical cocktail of flavours; with mango, rum and lime tasting notes that shine with pourover brewing for a deliciously summery cup.
