With the increase in coffee prices and Brazil’s climate crisis, Brazilian coffee farmers are having to find new ways to stand out and there’s lots of exciting coffee coming out of the origin at the moment. 

This bag from Crankhouse showcases coffees from the COCARIVE co-operative in the Mantiqueria de Mina which have been processed as anaerobic naturals to give a more fruit forward flavour. Former Brazilian cupping champion Wellington Pereira (aka Baba) rigorously tastes all the coffees brought through to the COCARIVE warehouse near São Lourenço and carefully selected lots to blend into ‘Baba’s wine blend.’

As filter, we’re tasting really bright blueberry, rich winey depth, and a solid praline body that’s more in  line with traditional Brazilian profiles.
