With its volcanic soils and variable microclimates Gaitania, in the Colombian region of Tolima, is an ideal location for growing coffee- producing coffees that are complex and vibrant. The indigenous Nasa We’sx community were forcibly relocated to this region to work in the gold mines, but since gaining a degree of autonomy have been cultivating organic coffee backed by their cultural and ancestral traditions of land conservation.

These natural anaerobic coffee beans from ALL CAPS are really expressive of this terroir and a prime example of the juicy and rich coffee typical of Gaitania. Major red fruit flavour, sweet grape and a chocolate body make for a cup that is ultra versatile. We think this one’s ripe for Aeropress brewing to take advantage of both the brilliant body and complexity.
