Castillo Haze, Colombia - ALL CAPS Coffee
We’ve been lucky enough to try some outstanding coffees from Edinson Argote thanks to ALL CAPS’s close relationship with his farm, Quebraditas.
Edinson is one of the biggest names in coffee innovation and a key part of Colombia’s coffee revolution. While he’s known for producing exotic coffee varieties and experimenting with funky processing, this coffee takes the Colombian king of everyday drinking, Castillo, and treats it to some skilled processing for a coffee that provides big bang for your buck.
Castillo Haze has undergone yeast inoculation during fermentation before being washed, bringing in tropical IPA vibes alongside an approachable body of sweet summer berries.
Chester-based ALL CAPS coffee have been supplying the North West and beyond with beans and brews since 2021. There's a reason ALL CAPS are popping up as a guest roaster up and down the UK, they pride themselves on tasty coffee backed by transparent sourcing, roasting up their carefully selected lots on a Giesen roaster, keeping the distinctive qualities of each coffee intact.
While everything we've tried from ALL CAPS has been delicious, we'd be lying if we said it wasn't the fun, psychedelic branding that pulled us in.
