Located on the cobbled High Bridge street in Newcastle city centre amongst plenty of other independent shops, restaurants and bars Laneway is a perfect detour for a coffee on your morning commute, lunch spot or somewhere to catch up with pals over cake.
Laneway opened way back in 2016 and has since expanded their High Bridge cafe and opened a second location on Tynemouth's Front Street. Their range of Aussie inspired coffee, brunch and bakes has made it a popular spot and it's still our go to for a quick coffee in the city centre.
Laneway use All Press coffee for their house espresso drinks, offering all of the classics to sit in and takeaway as well as pourover options and a seasonally changing selection of specials for coffee and matcha lovers alike.
This city centre cafe is a big favourite for students and workers, offering free Wi-Fi, and plenty of seating with power outlets. However, it can get quite busy during commuting hours and lunch time, so come early or in the afternoons for a more chilled out vibe.
