We may be biased as LOCAL is our sister business... but we do know a thing or two about coffee.
You’ll always find our house roast Colombia El Eden coffee beans in the hopper, roasted up the road in Morpeth by Northside, and we take real pride in our decaf coffee too.
If you like to try something different, we always have a couple of filter coffees on the go from our range of independent roasters - usually one a bit chocolatey with that classic coffee taste & something a bit funkier if you want to give something different a go.
LOCAL also stocks a huge range of retail coffee beans, fresh from our favourite independent UK coffee roasters, who work with coffee growers from Brazil to Ethiopia to provide the most sustainable product. We’d be guessing, but we are pretty sure that we have the widest selection of bags and roasters up North.
We buy little and often, and don't let them linger on the shelf either, so they'll always be fresh and rotating all the time.
If you need them ground, we can help with that too. Grab a bag and then let us know what brewing method you would like them ground for. We grind them while you wait so you can get the best possible brew.
However it's not just coffee we're mad about. We serve up a range of drinks, from our homemade chai lattes, freshly squeezed OJ & matcha lattes, pretty much anything you want.
In the summer months LOCAL stocks ice cream from Morwick Dairy. Serving up scoops (cone or tubs - the choice is yours) from dawn till dusk. We also can whip up a milkshake using any of the ice cream flavours & there's always one or two vegan friendly sorbets available.
Alongside everything else we're keen natural wine enthusiasts have a great range of popular natural wines filling our shelves, including Instagram famous Chin Chin Vinho Verde, cult favourite orange wines and Metamorphika’s perfectly giftable clay bottles.
