The Goat (previously The Canny Goat) is Heaton’s newest speciality coffee spot. Located on the corner of Whitefield Terrace & Warton Terrace it’s just a stones throw away from Iris Brickfield Park.
We love a suburb coffee shop nestled amongst residential streets, making having to travel into the city centre for a proper good brew a thing of the past.
The Goat is ran by Sam who has spent years in the Newcastle coffee scene perfecting his craft, from working as a head barista to sourcing & roasting his own coffee & even competing in filter competitions. His experience & dedication shines through, making for some very interesting & tasty filters & expertly pulled espresso shots for a proper flat white.
To go along with the brews, The Goat also offers a selection of cold drinks, toasties & cakes. With indoor & outdoor seating available it’s a great place in Heaton to stop for a coffee & don't forget your four legged pals as it's also dog friendly.
