Magic Hat opened in the City Centre in 2020 & is Newcastle's first food waste cafe using food donated from independents, supermarkets, wholesalers & hospitality/retail venues that would otherwise went to waste, they then use it to use it to create their daily menu and stock an in house ‘pay as you feel’ shop.
Lets talk about the food - Magic Hat operate a dynamic pricing policy with lunch/brunch dishes priced from £4 - £12.
Their food is crafted everyday by their expert chefs & we can confidently say that their food is amongst some of the best we've ever had in Newcastle, for the price & knowing you're supporting a local business that is doing good it's truly an amazing & unique experience every time you walk through the door.
RESINN coffee is their choice of coffee in the hoppers & with fully trained baristas you can count on getting a good coffee every time.
As with everything they do Magic Hat is dedicated to reducing waste & operate a Returnable Cup System with Circular & Co.
As well as their cafe, Magic Hat offer external catering services & they offer out their space for event hire.
Of course they're dog friendly & they have a lovely group of people working there. All in all, a wonderful business with a genuine desire to do good, great food and great coffee.
