The Salaverría family are one of El Salvador’s largest coffee producers, owning multiple farms around the Santa Ana volcano and managing to produce real quality at volume. This is Two Words's second year buying from the family, and with such a diverse portfolio of farms we’re bound to see more.

El Martillo sits at 1700MASL, an impressive altitude for this origin, and is part of Jose Antonio and his sons’ project to optimise quality and value through post-harvest processing. For this one, the deepest Red Bourbon was picked and taken to their central mill Beneficio Las Cruces, where all of their coffee is processed. There it underwent 80 hours of anaerobic fermentation in sealed tanks before patio-drying.
