Andres Bazos, Peru - Two Words Coffee

Yes, another outstanding Peruvian coffee. Two Words’s contribution to the season is this double-anaerobic washed lot from Andres Bazos, roasted specifically for espresso to bring out sweet toffee and dark choc notes.

Andres inherited Llave de Oro (Gold Key) from his grandfather, and has set about transforming it over the last decade to be able to produce specialty coffee.  On the 36 hectare farm in Sanchirio Palomar, Chanchamayo, he’s invested heavily in learning about agriculture and processing, and enforces strict quality control measures at every step.

The double-anaerobic washed process is completed on site and involves 24 hours of fermentation in steel tanks before the cherries are pulped and fermented for another 24 hours in ceramic tanks.

Liverpool's newest roaster TWO WORDS brings together a team with bags of experience across the specialty coffee industry, passionate about growing the city's coffee scene. Coffee shop owner Tian has joined forces with head roaster Allison and marketing expert Tom to create a brand that's big on showcasing the hard work of dedicated growers around the world.

After roasting for some of their fave local businesses over the past year, they're moving from a 1kg Bullet roaster to a 15kg big boy in their new roastery to give us further afield a chance to try their selection of specialty coffee from passionate farmers.
