Fresh Triple Co coffee beans from the volcanic soils of Rwanda's Western Province. The region flanks the Eastern shores of Lake Kivu, where the tropical highland climate and frequent rainfall produces uniquely dense beans.

This one comes from the Rwamatamu coffee farm and washing station in Nyamasheke, where husband and wife team the Rutagandas manage 20 hectares of land while also buying and processing lots from smallholder farmers, providing quality processing while supporting local families in the region.

This washed lot is a little less fruit-forward than some other Rwandan coffees we've tried, but still packs an apricot punch rounded out by caramel sweetness and some floral aroma.
