Kenya Kamwangi - Outpost Coffee
We always know we’re in for a treat with Outpost’s Kenyan coffee beans. This one, from Kamwangi Washing Station, is typically sweet and juicy with blackcurrant flavour, a flavour profile very unique to Kenyan washed coffees.
Kamwangi is one of 3 factories managed by New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) in Kenya’s central highlands region. Around 1500 smallholders farming above 1800MASL contribute cherries to the central washing stations where they are hand sorted before processing. This fully washed AA lot was depulped before undergoing 24-36 hour fermentation, then fully washed and graded by density.
This will brew up a treat with hand brewing methods, but has been omni-roasted so you can enjoy as a juicy espresso too.
