It was always going to take something special to top our beloved house coffee beans that have served us well at LOCAL for 3 years. Thankfully, Adam at Northside Coffee has come up with the goods once again. After intense tasting (a tough job let us tell you) we’ve got a brand new Colombian coffee full of nutty chocolate notes and a little mellow peach sweetness.

El Eden is a community blend of Castillo, Catimor, Caturra, Colombia varieties grown by 16 smallholder farmers near Armenia, in the Andean Quindío region- one of Colombia’s key coffee growing regions.

Among these contributing farms are La Floresta, San Diego and La Bella- larger farms that make up a large proportion of the overall blend. Coffee from individual farms is harvested and brought to the Racafe mill for washed processing, sampling and grading. A perfectly balanced, consistent blend profile is then drawn from these combined lots.
