Great Rift Coffee produce and process coffee in Kenya’s Nandi County, a region renowned for producing coffee that balances clarity and vibrancy. This one from Hundred House is no different, with classic blackcurrant flavour, pink grapefruit acidity and a little plummy richness.

Great Rift Coffee manage every stage from cherry to export, ensuring full traceability. Once the cherry arrives at the factory, it is sorted, pulped, washed and sorted again. Next up is a brief ‘skin drying’ phase that allows surface moisture to evaporate, preventing over-fermentation to guarantee clarity in the final cup. The coffee is dried slowly in thin layers under the winter sun on raised African beds until it reaches a precise 10.5-11.5% moisture content. At Great Rift’s dry mill the parchment coffee is hulled and graded by density and undergoes a final hand sorting.
