Costa Rican coffee is always something we look out for on our roasters’ offer lists and this funky naturally processed one roasted by Crankhouse was an instant yes.

These coffee beans from Coope Tarrazu, the nation’s largest coffee cooperative, are a great example of Costa Rica’s pioneering coffee research. This coffee uses one of the F1 hybrid varieties that has been cultivated for disease resistance, adaptability, high yield and a beautiful flavour profile. With climate change a major threat to coffee, projects like these could be the future of your fave cup.

It’s a really tasty cup too- with sweet brown sugar and tinned pineapple dominating the palate, we think adventurous filter coffee drinkers would love this.
