A juicy natural Mexican coffee roasted by Crankhouse. These coffee beans have been sourced from Genaro Perez, a smallholder farmer in Oaxaca’s Sierra Sur who is also a member of the Union San Pedro Coop. Coffee production is experiencing massive decline in Mexico, and co-operative groups are key to exporting quality lots from low yield farms.

Alongside creating regional lots, Union San Pedro and its leader Salomon Garcia have helped to highlight the work of individual farmers like Genaro by processing single standout parcelas.

This parcela mixes two of Mexico’s most common coffee varieties Mundo Novo and Pluma Hidalgo. Pluma Hidalgo, a Typica variant, was developed in the town of Pluma Hidalgo just a couple of miles from San Pedro. The final cup is bright with raspberry and pink grapefruit, rounded out by creamy praline flavour.
