A delicate and fruity brew courtesy of Coborn Coffee. These Rwandan coffee beans come from Gasharu Coffee’s washing station in Nyamasheke and pay tribute to the entirely female workforce behind this lot. The Rugori (Women’s Crown) is the traditional crown Rwandan women receive after the birth of their first child that is a symbol of strength, respect and recognition of their contribution to society. The aim of this lot was to fairly compensate women’s work in coffee where they perform the majority of work in farming and processing but receive only a small percentage of the profit from the coffee.

This anaerobic washed lot is full of berry juiciness and well integrated acidity in this very clean cup marked by a lingering tealike finish.
