A really classic washed Ethiopian coffee from Welsh roasters Big Dog Coffee. This lot from the the Halo Beriti kebele has outstanding clarity, with all of the delicate tea-like body, citrus flavour and floral aromatics we’ve come to expect from Yirgacheffe coffee beans.

Halo Beriti washing station pays a premium for the coffee produced by around 2500 local smallholder farmers, who grow at extreme altitudes between 1950-2200MASL. The washing station has consistently won awards for the quality of its coffee since being taken over by Boledu Coffee in 2017. Boledu, who manage 6 stations in Yirgacheffe and the Guji Zone, know that the real work comes before the cherry hits the processing station, so invest heavily in farmer training and encourage micro-lot processing for stand out coffees like this one.
