Bekele Kachara, Ethiopia - ALL CAPS Coffee
A phenomenal lot from Ethiopian coffee producer Bekele Kachara. These coffee beans come from Bekele’s Hache farm in the Sidamo region of Ethiopia, where he focuses on natural process coffees, leaving them to dry on raised beds for 16 days.
This one, selected and roasted by ALL CAPS, is a really characteristic Ethiopian natural; sweet and syrupy body, juicy blueberry flavour with some florals on the finish.
Bekele inherited his farm in Hache from his parents and has since expanded his growing to a second farm in Murago where he experiments with shade grown coffee and alternative post harvest processing including anaerobics and extended dry naturals.
Chester-based ALL CAPS coffee have been supplying the North West and beyond with beans and brews since 2021. There's a reason ALL CAPS are popping up as a guest roaster up and down the UK, they pride themselves on tasty coffee backed by transparent sourcing, roasting up their carefully selected lots on a Giesen roaster, keeping the distinctive qualities of each coffee intact.
While everything we've tried from ALL CAPS has been delicious, we'd be lying if we said it wasn't the fun, psychedelic branding that pulled us in.
