A complex and sweet coffee from PLOT, that shows off how great Myanmar is at producing high quality natural process coffees. Sharp berry compote, ripe nectarine and smooth vanilla make for a well rounded flavour profile that’s versatile enough for espresso and filter brewing.

Each community in the Ywangan area of Shan State has a working group responsible for processing coffee at a central location. The smallholders who contribute to this lot come from the Shwe Taung Thu  (Golden Farmer) farmers group in Pha Yar Gyi Kone, where around 200 Danu and Pa-O households produce specialty coffee while receiving technical support and access to a fairer trade.

Because of the climate and terroir, this group focuses exclusively on natural processing. The dry heat of the harvest season in the first few months of the year provides the perfect conditions for drying, with cherries able to dry for between 11 and 32 days.
