PLOT have sourced this Tanzanian coffee, only their second ever, from Acacia Hills Coffee Estate in the Ngorongoro highlands. Incredible quality on show in this really well structured washed coffee that balances bright summer fruit flavour with chocolatey richness, these beans are a statement not to underestimate this often overlooked origin.

When Leon and Aideen Christianakis bought the land in 2007 it was completely neglected, but they have developed the site to meet their aims of specialty quality coffee and environmental sustainability. Acacia is run as part of an agroforestry system to limit the impact of the estate on the surrounding ecosystem. All coffee is shade-grown and evaluated at their on-site cupping lab that helps the team keep quality consistent across harvests.
