Muki Fruity, Uganda - Kickback Coffee
Muki Fruity brings together the collective knowledge and experience of Ugandan coffee guru Norman Mukuru and his head of quality Maria Kirya. Norman has helped to establish The Coffee Yard as a centre for coffee drying and exceptional natural process coffees in the foothills of Mount Elgon.
This microlot roasted by Kickback has been developed to bring out a slightly boozy cherry liqueur flavour and a super fruit forward flavour profile of mango and tamarind using The Coffee Yard’s extended fermentation natural process. The cherries are separated based on density after floating, then placed in sealed barrels for up to 100 hours before being slow dried on raised beds.
Macclesfield born Kickback Coffee bring their spirit of adventure to everything they do. Their site at the edge of the Peak District means they’ve found a likeminded community of explorers and athletes who share their passion for the outdoors and fuel their journeys with Kickback at home or in one of their 3 coffee shops.
