El Choloque, Peru - Kickback Coffee
A sweet and complex Peruvian coffee grown at extreme altitude by Fredis Rodríguez Sosa. Fredis’s farm El Choloque sits at 2400 MASL in Jaén, but despite offering perfect growing conditions for coffee he only planted his first lots four years ago. Coffee has now become his main source of income and he’s continued to improve on his quality focused production.
This Typica was selectively harvested and sorted for defects before being washed and dried very slowly. The high altitude growing and processing has left us with this balanced cup with a syrupy strawberry body and a long, clean finish that roasters Kickback are recommending for both filter and espresso brewing.
Macclesfield born Kickback Coffee bring their spirit of adventure to everything they do. Their site at the edge of the Peak District means they’ve found a likeminded community of explorers and athletes who share their passion for the outdoors and fuel their journeys with Kickback at home or in one of their 3 coffee shops.
