El Condor is a village in the district of Huabel that takes its name from the soaring Andean bird that calls this high altitude region home. Like many coffees from Peru, this bag blends day lots from around the village, sourced from small-scale producers who farm between 1-3 hectares of land. Each farmer picks, ferments, washes and dries their own crop before it is delivered to a central warehouse in Jaen.

The altitude in El Condor-up to 2000MASL- means that coffee takes longer to dry, with producers carefully attending to their coffee for up to two weeks.
